Sunrise differs by location and the panchanga is anchored to it, so the answer genuinely differs — near a transition, two cities can be on different tithis for the same date.

What a panchang is
Panchanga is Sanskrit for "five limbs". It is not a horoscope: it describes the sky, not a person. Tithi is the lunar day, one of thirty in a lunar month, defined by how far the Moon has pulled ahead of the Sun — so tithis are not 24 hours long and rarely start at midnight. Vaara is the weekday with its ruling graha. Nakshatra is which of the twenty-seven lunar mansions the Moon occupies. Yoga and karana come from the same Sun–Moon geometry.
Every term here is defined in the Jyotish glossary, free and without a sign-in.
How this is computed
Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris and are verified against Jagannatha Hora reference charts. The ayanamsa is Pushya-paksha (P.V.R. Narasimha Rao's) — stated because this is precisely what different almanacs disagree about, and leaving it implicit is how two tools show two different nakshatras for the same moment. Sunrise uses the classical Hindu convention: disc centre, no refraction correction. No language model computes any of it.
